The Low Voltage Directive (LVD), adopted in 1973, has been an important step in this path. In 1990 and afterwards, CE Marking was stipulated for free movement within the EU market. The purpose of the LVD Regulation is; after establishing the safety requirements and conformity assessment procedures contained in this regulation of electrical equipment falling under the scope of the regulation, specify the principles and procedures for the safety rules and conformity assessment procedures necessary for the supply to the market. Especially in this period when the EU integration process is accelerating, standardization studies in our country have also accelerated. For this reason, our firms that have been engaged in the production of electrical electronics, automotive, machine and white goods have become aware of LVD tests. They do not drive to the market without confirming that their products are safe with the tests they have done. It is often the case that the manufactured CE marking of electrical electronics, automotive, machinery and white goods components is sufficient for CE marking on the product. In such cases, the material used carries the CE mark; the new product manufactured can not be hit by CE. This new product must be inspected and tested in the frame of standards for CE marking.
