In defense technologies, "failure" has much heavier consequences than in the civilian sector. It is unacceptable for a radar to be blinded under jamming or for an avionics system to be disabled by lightning strike.
**MIL-STD-461** (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and **MIL-STD-810** (Environmental Conditions) are the cornerstones of this survivability. As Consept, we manage the complex qualification processes of platform manufacturers and subcontractors.
We provide technical support from R&D stage to PDR/CDR (Design Review) meetings, and become your solution partner with "root cause analysis" in case of failure.
CE101, CE102, RE101, RE102, RS101, RS103...
Surge and spike tests for land vehicles.
Airborne environmental and EMC conditions.
Integration tests of an HF (High Frequency) Military Radio prototype.
When the radio system was exposed to a high electric field strength of 200 V/m (RS103 test), it experienced serious deterioration in sound quality (SINAD drop) and even connection loss (squelch opening). This meant communication interruption when the radar on the ship was operating.
Result: The system was made operational uninterruptedly under 200 V/m and successfully passed the qualification test.
Measurement made to prevent electromagnetic pollution emitted by the device from affecting other sensitive receivers (GPS, Radio) on the platform. 10 kHz - 18 GHz.
Immunity of the device against strong external RF fields (Radar, Jammer). Test capability up to 200 V/m level.
Measurement of noise fed back to the grid over power lines. 10 kHz - 10 MHz.
Immunity against instantaneous impulses induced on cables and damped sinusoidal waves.
High/Low Temperature, Humidity, Thermal Shock and Altitude tests. Cabins between -70°C and +180°C.
Mechanical durability with Sine, Random vibration profiles and Classical Shock (Half-sine, Sawtooth) tests.
